Jamie & her litter
[As of November 14th, we had about 100 applications for these four puppies. All pups and mom are now adopted.]
Jamie's litter was born in mid-September in Southern Virginia. The mom Jamie is 12 months old, beautiful, sweet and mellow. I heard that the father was a gorgeous semi-feral black lab. When the woman who owned them was evicted, she brought the dogs to a shelter. AFH then transported them to Northern Virginia. Our family began fostering them on Sunday, November 8th.
The mom Jamie is small for a lab. She is absolutely beautiful and about the sweetest dog I've ever met. She is gentle and affectionate with her pups and loves to be pet from us. All four of her pups are males. See pictures and further descriptions below.
FYI, if you are interested in Jamie, she is not eligible to leave until early to mid December (She must be spayed and recover first.)
We named him Potter because he has a scab on his cheek. He is the largest in the litter and may be alpha (although as my kids point out, he is very cuddly and will lick your face if you pick him up!). He's extremely affectionate and just wants to be pet, held & loved. On November 10th, he weighed 11 pounds.
We've been calling this guy Darwin. He's the smallest in the litter (weighing 9 lb 7oz on Nov 10) and is sweet as pie. As I answered emails last night, he fell fast asleep in my lap.
My son named this little guy Oslo. We need to retake his picture - He thought picture time was nap time and couldn't keep his little eyes open. On November 10, he weighed 10 lb 8 oz.
Balto has a little white on his chest (just like mom). On November 10, he weighed 10 lb 11 oz. Like the others, he is playful, sweet and sweet!
This is Jamie. When we made a high pitched sound, she cocked her head. Really, really cute and sweet. She has unlimited patience with her pups, which I think is unusual when the pups are 8 weeks old. I'm guessing she weighs 45 pounds.
